ADMARC, through its vast and strategic network of markets, provides a ready market to smallholder and commercial farmers for the following agricultural commodities for trading on both domestic and international markets:
Rice
This cereal crop is grown for both domestic and commercial use which is traded both locally and internationally. Aromatic Super Faya, Kilombero, Amanda and Long grain are the common varieties that are produced in the country. ADMARC Limited mills its high-quality rice at the state of the art Liwonde Mill. The plant, which can process over 10,000 metric tons of paddy rice per annum, has the added functions of destoning, grading and polishing.
Groundnuts
ADMARC owns a state of art grading machine in Liwonde with a grading capacity of 6mt/hr. The plant grades ungraded groundnut kennels into 6 different categories. The output is handpicked for further grading and tested for aflatoxin.

Soy Beans
Soya beans are legumes rich in protein, oil and essential minerals and are mainly used for human and livestock consumption. The pulses which are harvested from April to May, are used in the processing of edible oils, animal feed and protein-rich flour.

Beans are a good source of protein produced for the local and export market. Red kidney beans, white haricot, red/black and white speckled sugar beans ‘Nanyati’ are commonly produced varieties in Malawi.

Cow Peas
Cowpeas are consumed as a high-quality plant protein and carbohydrates source. Malawi produces an average of 50,000 metric tons of cowpeas per year.
Seed Cotton
Malawi cotton is well known for its high yielding improved ginning outturn and desirably fine quality. Cotton lint is used in textile manufacturing and is sold on the export market. Cottonseed, sold on both local and export markets, is used for oil extraction whose by-product, the cotton seedcake is used in livestock feed production.

Pigeon Peas
Pigeon peas are extensively used in the preparation of dhal. Malawi is one of the major producers of pigeon peas with a production capacity of over 300,000 tons per year. ADMARC Limited supplies at least 2,000 metric tons of pigeon peas per month to both local and export markets.
