Beans are a good source of protein produced for the local and export market. Red kidney beans, white haricot, red/black and white speckled sugar beans ‘Nanyati’ are commonly produced varieties in Malawi. Admarc is a major supplier of beans in the country with a local supply of over 20,000 metric tons locally and internationally every year.
