Soya beans are legumes rich in protein, oil and essential minerals and are mainly used for human and livestock consumption. The pulses which are harvested from April to May, are used in the processing of edible oils, animal feed and protein-rich flour.
Malawi produces an average of 180,000 tons of Soybeans which are traded on both local and domestic markets.
